GSview displays an error message instead of your .PS or .EPS file
2004 January 14If GSview displays an error message instead of your PostScript file, either of two things could be wrong:
In the latter case, the problem is easy to fix:
- There may be something wrong with the PostScript file.
- Your account may be set up for the wrong version of GhostScript (the underlying software package that renders the image for GSview). This version number is stored with your roaming account.
Then close GSview and reopen it.
- In GSview, choose Options, Easy Configure.
- Only one version of GhostScript will be shown; select it.
The problem will recur if you move back and forth between computers whose GhostScript installations are not the same version. Please let us know which computers cause the problem, so that we can update them.
