Directions to the Loading Dock
Brief directions: We are located in Room 111 of the Boyd Graduate Studies Research Center, the same building that houses the University of Georgia Science Library. The loading dock for this building is well hidden. To reach it, you have to follow a U-shaped path through the parking lot behind Hardman Hall. Detailed directions are below. Detailed directions: (A1) From Lumpkin Street or East Campus Road, turn on Carlton Street toward the UGa Coliseum. (A2) Near the Coliseum, turn north on Sanford Drive. This is a left if you are coming from Lumpkin, or a right if you are coming from East Campus Road. (A3) At Snelling Dining Commons, turn right on West Green Street. (A4) At the end of West Green Street, continue into the parking lot and bear left. (A5) Go all the way around the back of Hardman Hall, still bearing left. (A6) As you come out of the parking lot, continue across Brooks Drive (which ends there) into the driveway for the loading dock. (A7) To get out, you can use Soule Street, which is one-way in the opposite direction than West Green Street. From the Athens Bypass (10 Loop): (B1) Take the College Station Road exit and turn toward campus. (Coming from Atlanta, this is a left.) (B2) Turn right on East Campus Road (just after crossing the railroad track). (B3) Turn left on Carlton Street. (B4) When you see the Coliseum, continue with step (A2) above. From Atlanta: (C1) Take I-85 northeast (toward Greenville). (C2) Right after passing Gwinnett Place Mall, take Ga. 316 East to Athens. (C3) Go approximately 40 miles (64 km). (C4) On the outskirts of Athens, turn right (east) on Ga. 10 Loop (U.S. 78 East), the Athens Bypass. (If you pass Wal-Mart, you've missed this turn.) (C5) Go approximately 5 miles.
