Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies Education

Dr. Gao’s research focuses on AI in science education. She leverages AI techniques to design and build adaptive learning systems, making personalized learning scenarized, intelligent, and scalable. She also utilizes educational data mining and machine learning techniques to identify students’ behavioral and complex cognitive patterns. Through these efforts, she aims to enhance the effectiveness and inclusivity of science education practices.
